Pressure Washing Deck (topsides)

Would power washing the deck help take care of some of the chalking going on with my older boat or should I just hose it off with a brush and deck cleaner? I am in my second year of boat ownership and have been busy with many other issues. This summer I plan to focus a bit more on the topsides. I have been told there is a great 3M restorer with wax that works good or even possibly wet sanding, then buffing. Looking for suggestions.Thanks,Greg W"SlipAway"
