IS PRESSURE WASHING THE DECK AND HULL AN OPTION OR WILL THIS DAMAGE THE GELCOAT?

Jeff, To me, this is a 'maybe'. Some of these units can apply enough pressure to cut into gel coats. Type of tip used, distance from surface, length of time on surface, etc. should be watched carefully. With that said, proper use should not be a problem. Careful around caulked joints or softer materials. There are also soaps to add to pressure washers that may be helpful. Jan

Do it all the time

I have a gas powered pressure washer and use it two or three time during the season to wash the boat. Use the fan spray not a pin point. This does a really good job. I also scrub with soapy water and power rinse. I then protect the gel coat 303 protector.

Pressure washer great on teak

I have used an under $100 electric pressure washer on the teak. The pin point wand. Takes the dirt out without raising the grain. You also do not need to get down on your knees and scrub, scrub, scrub Try it- you will be surprized how well it works.
