Good Morning Peggie,A while ago I asked you some questions about installing a prefilter in our head intake hose To stop all the alge blooms from smelling up our hbowl rim. I have an extra water pump filter I was going to use that has the same line size. this weekend I installed it.I took the intake hose off the PH11 manual head. re ran the hose back into the head vanity cabinet. Then connected to the filter (Dbl hose clamps). (this is a clear bowl type filter with screw on cup and mesh ss screen.)... Then connected a new hose from the filter to the head....The filter is above waterline..then used a hose bulkhead connector and mounted the filter to the bulkhead high and checked all hoses so none were pinched.....everything looked fine.....I then opened the through hull...(we are in the water).....Checked the filter...looked like no water in the filter just air......so I switched the head to "flush" mode...pumped....the head sucked raw water into the filter filled the bowl then through the screen...the clear bowl filled up with water and green alge....the screen trapped most of it and the water pumped into the rim and filled the bowl...everything seamed fine....maybe a finer screen would be better though.....anyway..the head continued to pump and you could tell the waste was moving to the holding tank freely......so then I turned the head valve to "Dry"...and tryed to pump...its at that point the lever wont push down...it has a vapor lock or back pressure.....thats my question...WHY??? and why would a prefilter affect the backpressure???Would very much appreciate your insight.thanks Rob
