Hello all! I'm picking up a C27 that is pretty much ready to go in the water, but could use some work to make it more...comfortable.
One thing i'd like figure out before it goes in is whether i can get power on board fairly easily. The boat originally had an inboard, with its attendant switching and such. Some previous owner removed the inboard. It currently uses a Honda outboard (hung off the stern like a C22) and nothing electrical on the boat is connected. Apparently the outboard does have an alternator, but there are no connections into the boat.
So, can simply install a battery for lighting, connecting to the switch panel? Could I then run a line from the outboard/alternator to battery? I have no idea if anything actually works... i guess it's been years since the inboard removal...
