The cowl vent on our h36 looks like this:

and mounts on top of the sea hood. The corresponding vent port in the salon roof appears to open to a space under the sea hood and is always dry. The companion way hatch also slides under the sea hood to some extent.
Has anyone ever tried to mount a small DC fan in the salon vent port to increase air flow while plugged in to shore pwr? Can the cowl be replaced with a solar vent, or would the sea hood make this ineffective? I haven't removed the sea hood to see how it is made or how it keeps the salon vent port dry. There doesn't seem to be enough height in the sea hood to operate as a traditional dorade with cowl vent on top. But maybe there is.
TIA,
Dan
