A month or so ago, someone had e-mailed me a spreadsheet he had developed in Excel to log all electrical components on board. After downloading it to a disk I proceeded to format the disk by mistake and lost the data. I am unable to locate the author through the FORUM archives so who ever you were, I would be overjoyed to receive another copy. Please respond to this message and I will send you my e-mail address. Many thanks. H.Kornack DreamCatcher

Me Too?

Howard, If your contact re-establishes with you, I would also be interested in a copy of the spreadsheet. I'm still working on the electrical requirements of my new 380. How is your boat? We have had a slew of problems but slowly the dealer is getting them taken care of.... Send me an e-mail about your experiences with your 380. Les Blackwell Leslieblackwell@home.com

I want it too

Would you please send that spreadsheet to me when/if you find if. I'm curious about the problems you are having with your 380. I have had failures with: Refrigeration not working well.(It was a user problem. I now clean all of my strainers regularly. DUH) VHF(Water got inside. I understand that there was NO gasket installed to make a seal.) Dealer/Hunter replaced. Transducer failure on speed/temp instrument. Dealer/Hunter replaced. Sheet winch failure. The small plastic insert at the top broke and allowed the sheet gto double up and be fed back into the winch. It would not pull back out. I had to cut the sheet because I was in a tight sailing situation. I have since read the book and know how to disassemble the winch if it ever happens again. I have not reported this problem to Hunter yet but I expect that they will provide a quick cheerful solution as they have with the other failures. I believe the problems I have seen have been pretty small considering the number of complicated systems that have been brought together in this boat. My dealer(Ship & Sail, Ft Walton Beach, FL) and Hunter have done everything I could ask to correct my problems.

Spreadsheet for 12V

If you know how to use XCEL or LOTUS then you can easily create one. A good model can be found in the article at: www.sailnet.com/diy/wood/12voltspreadsheet.htm

security warning

If you have your security settings on 'high' it will give you that warning simply because you're about to download a file that is not readable by your browser. There is no web security system I'm aware of that actually scans documents for a virus and warns you based on any meaningful criteria. ph.

Phil is right

Thanks Phil for responding. Jay, you can either change your settings in your 'tools' menu 'internet option' box or simply tell the computer to go ahead and download this file. This file is on our company website. Thanks to the author who created this sheet, it is very informative.
