Posti-Tite Waterproof connector.

Has anyone seen or used these on their boat? Thought it might be a good thing to keep on board.

seen them (similar) on race cars...
didn't know they were waterproof. screw together type pressure connector. IIRC.

pricey... but reusable.

I prefer liquid tape and soldered crip on connectors, with a little dielectric grease. for good measure.

Those look good, I wonder what's actually on the inside/how they work?

We use these Weather-Pack connectors on our solar panels:

The only downside, you have to buy in quantity and have a special crimper.

They make some also that are not waterproof. What I thought was nice is all you need is a knife to strip the wire to install them so them might get you out of a bind if you had to make a repair until you could make a proper repair as Mr Bill prefers.
