of your boat here. Always interesting to see what everyone is sailing -- or, like me, what you were sailing until you were hauled recently....*cry On the upside, spring launch is less than 4 months away. Better get busy....

Under 'Your Home Port' there is a box to check that says "I have a photo to post with my reply". Check this box and Submit. Then a page will open for you to 'Browse' your files to find the picture you want to upload. Then 'Upload' and if it works just click 'Accept'

Thanks R W. These things can be

rather arcane but I shall not be intimidated by them. ;)

Hey Ross!

I feel your pain! Check to see that the pic you want to post is a .jpeg file, otherwise it won't work. You'll know immediately when the thumbnail shows up with shot and not just a box. If you can't change it yourself, send it to someone with Photoshop or similar software to convert its file type so it will show up here. Mine crash when I forget to check if its file ending in its name is a .tif, .gif or some other graphic image that won't display.

That little snow flurry will be all gone

by tomorrow. Solar panels don't work under snow. ;)

These are some great

boat pictures that you all have posted! I just love looking at pictures of boats. It's an addiction. Every boat pic posted shows how much we care about these inanimate objects. I personally could not imagine life without a boat-- any kind of boat. A friend of mine gave me a framed copy of that old Wind in the Willows saying: "There is nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats." Really sums it up, n'est pas? Ross: is that finally a pic of your boat with the blue fenders on the starboard side? I've been curious about what it is you haven't been paddlin':) For those who may have been having trouble uploading a pic here, sometimes it helps to hold down the "Control" key while uploading. That works for me. Keep those pics coming -- I love them all!

Yes Warren , That's Bietzpadlin.

That was the summer of '99. The day she was launched was the first time I had ever seen her in the water.

Why Do We Mess About With Boats?

Warren, I have this hanging on my office wall, Why Do We Mess About With Boats? "If a man must be obsessed with something, I suppose a boat is as good as anything, perhaps a bit better than most. A small sailing craft is not only beautiful; it is seductive and full of strange promise and the hint of trouble. If it happens to be an auxiliary cruising boat, it is without question the most compact and ingenious arrangement for living ever devised by the restless mind of man- a home that is stable without being stationary, shaped less like a box than like a fish or a girl, and in which the homeowner can remove his daily affairs as far from shore as he has the nerve to take them, close hauled or running free- parlor, bedroom and bath, suspended and alive" E.B. Opps Don't ask I have no idea why the pick would come up as a "play movie". My son the computer geek made the pic small enought so it could be put on this site
