A local trailer boat group is tempting us with participation in their portsmouth handicapped lake fun race/cruise in 3wks. I'm not sure where the stock 2004 H260 would fall and can't seem to get a clear rating number. As close as I get from searching the archives is around a 226. There's no danger in us humiliating anyone on the course but all things being equal we can make it get up and go even though she's rigged for coastal cruising (including all the added comfy cruising pork). Thanks for any lists or links to other 260s ratings. Michael and Kelli 2004 H260 s/v Plan B

H260 Portsmouth Number

Hi Michael; Check out the US Sailing website for Portsmouth numbers: http://www.ussailing.org/portsmouth/tables06/tables06off-2.htm From that table, the basic number for a H260 is 91.0. The 226 number you mention sounds like a PHRF number (a different system for handicapping races). If the race you are planning on entering uses PHRF, there's a table for on the US Sailing site to cross index one handicapping system to the other. From that table the H260 Portsmouth 91.0 equals a 216 in PHRF. This is a rough estimate. Have a fun race Ross
