Hi all, I’m curious as to whether anyone is using a Portland Pudgy as a tender for a boat moored in Maine. The hype is that the Pudgy is impervious to the coastal granite shores along the Pine Tree state. Fact or fiction? We sail DownEast and use an aluminum skiff as a tender but like the promise of what a Pudgy offers—safety and durability. Our skiff rides on a run out line with a 14’ tidal range. It gets fairly knocked around In rough weather. I’m concerned that the Pudgy’s keel handles will break. Thoughts?
