porthole gaskets

Where can I get new rubber gaskets for my original portholes? What is the best bedding material to reset a porthole? Also what is the best material to use to replace my side lights that are alll scratched up

Gaskets: check the inside frame (probably lower left corner) for a manufacturer name. Chances are it is either Gray Enterprises or PYHI. Go here and let us know which, we have gasket for both. http://shop.hunterowners.com/customerservice/

We recommend Dow 795 for bedding ports, but there are several good options and others here may have a different favorite.

Hi Phil, what are your thoughts on bedding new Beckson Opening Portlights with LifeCaulk??

Beckson recommends silicone. Read their installation manual. It's the only use for silicone I have on my boat, now that I bought Maine Sail's butyl tape! Beckson is the only port manufacturer who does. IIRC, they have them on their website. We have eight of them and I've replaced at least three. Silicone works on Beckson ports.

Stu, thanks. I did read that but I was trying to avoid silicone and I'm sure Beckson knows best! I'm replacing all 9 of my opening Portlights on my H34. Appreciate your feedback.

Up at the boat this weekend and the porthole's are Gray. Do I need the size or do you sell it by the foot.
