I got a list of 6 major portlight manufacturers (Beckson, Bomar, Gebo, Lewmar, Taylor, and Vetus) and none of them had something in their catalog that looked like mine. Mine might just be a very old model, though.

I think I'd measure the size the seal needs to be and look for gasket/O-ring material and see if I could find the correct cross-sectional area and make my own gasket. As long as you can find the correct cross-section, it's easy to make. There are some difficult cross sections...

I sent them an image of my gasket, after seeing it on one of their windows. They confirmed and sent me a sample. Then I ordered. I’ll send you a picture of the item I received.

I just saw another Cal29, and it has the exact same portlights as mine, so now I think they are original! So if I could contact the company who built the boat, they might tell me the manufacturer of the portlights!!
Alas, Jensen Marine was bought by Bangor Punta, which was later acquired by Lear Siegler, Inc.
Cal29s were built from 1958 to 1974, during the Bangor Punta years (though still built under the Jensen Marine). Anyone have some good next steps in my search?

As promised. Here’s the images of the AJR gasket material I used to trim my CAL aluminum framed windows. They are more “window” like than ports on the CAL35 Cruiser.

Interesting. That's definitely closer to the profile I'm looking for. The challenge is finding it in a closed oval shape of just the right dimensions!
Or perhaps I can find gasket material that can be bent into shape and super glue the ends. Problem is, it needs to be fairly hard (like rubber) because it's the pressure of closing the window against the frame that makes the seal.

It comes in lengths. You could order one to fit the port, a little longer than the circumference and test it.
