The PVC pipe would only be at the tank end of the hose...the other end of the hose would connect to the deck fitting.

The advantage is, you won't have a dripping hose end that's been in a tankful of sewage/
I got it Peggie. Measure twice cut once, my Dad told me. Just realized last night I was planning on having the hose go to the toilet still in place. If I separate the holding tank, easy, I can move it almost directly under the drain, up on the V birth edge. Now only a very short hose combo is needed, instead of the 5' if done in place, and it would be much easier to clean and store. I'll test it today. Off topic, I also decided to see how quickly I can get a passport so I can go on down to Cuba while so close. A couple in another group is there now and loving it. Sure there will be palms to grease, but that's true everywhere. I'll need to put posts on all the groups to find others to travel with for safety, don't really be out there alone.

Last on this. Put the tank up on the V birth board and measured. Placed there, the hose length drops to 18" top to bottom of tank, and less worry about flex. That would put the Perko 20" from the front window. Perfect location, less likely to be stepped on, as the deck widens there. A big perk, under there with a flashlight, I saw why I could not budge the flat head mounting screws that hold the safety line fixtures I want off. They go into nuts that had been painted over. Got a tool on them, broke free, so another job with a solution.
