I have a 1986 or so 25 foot Catalina. The rear, starbord cabin window was broken out in a hail storm. I need to buy another one, obviously but it is not this nice symetrical shape that I see on replacement websites. Is there a good catalog or place to find a correct replacement?

Unfortunately they're no longer made, so you have to get lucky and find someone parting out a boat. There's a guy doing it here:

Parting out a 1977 C25

Or you can call Catalina Direct and ask them:

(800) 959-7245

Edit - Does your boat have the Lexan windows or the older framed style? I can't remember which year they changed over.

The easiest fix is to buy a piece of glass larger than what you need, lay out your finished dimension and get a belt sander and slowly go to town shaving the window down. It will save you a ton and will teach you a valuable skill.

Personally I'd avoid glass if it's not tempered. Lexan is a good alternative.

We took out a broken window. Was able to use the old window as a pattern and took it to "Tap Plastics" who laser cut the replacement. If you don't have the window, you could trace out the pattern. Also the C25 Assn. forum has several posts on how to change out broken windows by people who have done it. In the search field enter "replace windows" and several posts should come up
