The exterior plastic trim oval around a port has come loose and I would like recommendations for which adhesive caulk to use to keep it in place while not providing space for dirt and mildew.

I used the same DOW 795 that I used to install the ports.

The Gray folks who manufacture the ports prohibit use of polyurethanes (4200) etc on the ports. They call for silicone based sealant/adhesive.. Dow 795 is the correct stuff.

Never ever use any polyurethane on anything that will need maintenance and everything but the hull to deck joint needs periodic maintenance even the keel. There's a reason 5200 is called the devil's tool. Portlights especially need periodic maintenance. You don't need to support a six story building, just seal out water. Dow 795 is the correct sealer. Once a tube is opened, plan on using all of it that day. Comes in colors too.

Learned from a friend that pioneered the use of silicone to glue windows on buildings that the any silicone will last indefinitely if you put a screw in the tube nozzle and keep in the refrigerator. When needed, it's easy to remove from the fridge and put back after. I've also had some good luck prolonging the life of some polyurethane sealers like Sikaflex 292 I and 295 UV. Particularly good are the ones with the nozzles that unscrew to clean out.
