Well its been a real long Winter, and "Rover" is just about ready. I just finished putting the galley back in, and I am down to cabinet doors and drawers. When we bought it a lot of the cabin was taken apart for reasons that are unknown to me, but I checked each peice as we took them out to see where it went, if it had to be repaired of replaced, and how it fit back in. I find myself left with a panel (about 36" x 72") which looks like an exact duplicate of the port settee panel (or cover), that covered the original water tank and pump. Its the part you sit on, it has two cutouts (just like the one that is screwed and glued in, but it has no rails on the underside to hold the panels (locker covers) in place. It seems to be a duplicate right down to the screw holes in the front edge that hold the front (Teak) rail on, from the underside. Anyone know what it is or what its for. I gave some thought to it being something that lies on top of the installed (permanently mounted) panel, and that slides out to make the port setee bigger for sleeping, but it would be very uncomfortable to sit on, with the holes over the exisiting locker covers, and not much good for anything other than lighweights because its only 1/2" plwood. I can't imagine the PO have a duplicate just in case one breaks, and even if he did, why carry it around.Anyone have any ideas, it clearly is not necessary, but I am curious.
