Port Lights replacements

Saw the posting about $3000 worth of new windows, whew. How about something on a "budget" plan, any ideas?

If your frames are still serviceable (and look to be so for a while longer), then just replacing the lenses would be an option?

After 12 years the new plastic replacement ports are failing - there are cracks in the frames, especially the hinges. Four of the originals from 1983 are in much better condition.

Draw your own conclusions.

Just replaced my nine operable portlites this spring with matching new ones from this site for a little over $1,200. Estimated that New Found Metals would have been close to $4,000 for my '82 H30. Chose eight exact matches for the Gray Enterpises portlites, now made by Pompanette, and one from Beckon for the quarter berth portlite in the cockpit because the spigot has zero projection to break off like the old Gray portlite did. Have to say the Beckson is a cleaner looking design that better integrates the insect screen and drainage, but it was not offered in the two larger sizes of the Gray portlites in the main salon, so I stuck with Gray for the eight cabin top portlites.
