Pop Top

I noticed that Don Bodemann Has a pop top listed for sell. My catalina 22 (1980) did not come with a pop top. Has anyone ever tryied to add one. How much trouble was it and is it really worth the effort. Cause with out it I have major room for running my lines for single handed sailing. What a PITA!

I couldn't imagine retrofitting a C22 with a poptop! A yard would probably charge more than the boat's worth and a DIY would probably decrease the boat value. I shudder to think of the work involved!! LaDonna

Pop top addition

I took a look at my 75 model with pop top and have to whole heartedly agree with La Donna. It would be HUGE job and as said a screw-up would reduce the value of the boat. Better to sell and buy than modify.
