A word to the wise regarding our pop top/seahood on the Hunter 26. I found what looked like rust coming out from under the pop top hinges. I pulled the hinge screws and found it wasn't rust but water stained by the plywood core. As far as I can tell there was never any caulk under the hinges. Unbelievably, those small holes allowed enough water in to damage the wood and delaminate the top fiberglass. As you can see I have drilled holes and after drying out the core, I will inject epoxy through the holes and rebuild the hinge mounts. Check your boat!
