Is there any information out there specific to the mechanism used for the raising and lowering of the pop top? I've searched and searched to no avail and would very much like to have the extra headroom.

the "I Love Odays" website sells the manual for the 1970 Oday 23 pop top that supposedly covers the working of the mechanism. Be careful though; the site also says that Oday made two different versions of the pop top, one where the mast was keel stepped and the entire cabin raised, and one more like the Catalina 22/25, where the mast was deck stepped and only the aft portion of the coach roof lifted.
