I just bought and installed a poptop for my 260. Frankly I wasn't thrilled with it. It fits but not tightly like I think it should. Anyone else have one and if so how do you like it? Brad

pop top

Given the NO STANDING ROOM alternative I think mine is great. My boat is a 98 and the pop top cover is original to the boat. The only thing I'd change on mine would be a screen door that would snap around the companionway door instead of having to us the hatchboards when sleeping.

doesnt fit well

I like mine too except for the fact that it doesnt seem to fit snugly. But it beats bending down all the time. does yours fit snugly? Brad

difficult to snap

Mine is pretty snug. I insert the metal "arch" first, then snap the snaps and then raise the companionway lid. If I raise the top first I cannot snap the snaps because of the snugness.

Pop-Top screen door

Ken- FYI - You can order a companionway screen door for your pop-top through the Chandlery. I just ordered one for my 240. I had to ship my pop-top to Ameriseam so they can fit the zipper, but I think the screen door will be worth it. Marc B

MarcB pop top screen door

MarcB, I can't seem to find the add on screen door anywhere in the Chandelry. Can you paste a link to the item in a post for me? Sounds like a great idea. What was the cost? Thanks.

mine came with it

My poptop coer came with it. but it isnt a real door its just a bug screen that you snap to the companionway in place of the regular wood and plexiglass that came with the boat. Brad

Ken - Pop-top

Ken, I had to send an email to customer service at the chandlery to ask if I could buy just a screen, and the answer is yes. I've been working with Karisa MacLachlan (karisa@sailboatowners.com), and she's been great. The screen for my 240 was $36.00, plus $15.00 for shipping, and a few bucks to ship my pop-top to Ameriseam in Tampa. I ordered a couple things through the Chandlery and have always been satisfied.
