The fuse is not easily removed even though it says it pops out. Does anyone have any suggestions to help me with this problem? My mast light fuse shorted and I have to remove it but the fuse will not budge!

Don't know what king of fuse you're talking about but if it's a glass fuse, you can get a small plastic tool for removing it from an auto parts store. I would just pry it out with a small screwdriver (if the glass gets broken just save the end with the amperage stamped on it, no big deal). If it's the plastic blade type (ATO or ACP) just grab the body with a pair of pliers and pull. Either of these are held in place by spring pressure. If it's a circuit breaker, you must determine how it's held in place, ei; screws, clips, etc. My Catalina uses circuit breakers with a holding nut around the shaft of the breaker.

Or

If your fuse holder is red and square like mine, you'll have to use a small probe (pen tip, eyeglass repair size screwdriver or multi meter probe) and push it in sideways just behind the cap (if you look hard you'll see a small hole there) if you hit it right the fuse will pop right out.

fuses

Hello, I have the same fuse panel on my boat. I could not figure out the way of getting the fuse out. The name for the fuse panel manufacturer is on the panel (I forget the name). They have a good web site with descriptions on how to get the fuse to pop out, you do use something to press the release pin. Good luck, Barry
