Well, I just completed the purchase of my new boat - '83 Hunter 25! Can't wait to get out and do some sailing and start working on a few projects. I am interested in stripping off deck and cockpit paint applied with the last couple of years by the previous owner. The paint used was one part polyurethane and it was applied over the non-skip areas on the cockpit seats, cockpit floor and deck surfaces. What's the best way to strip this paint off the gel coat so I can repaint? Someone has suggested a power washer - any experience with this? Are there strippers available that won't harm the gel coat? I appreciate any suggestions. Tony Kriz tkriz@tkriz.darkhorizons.org
