Anyone have any experience with Poli Glo sometimes spelled Poly Glo. I've read mostly bad things about it on Boat ED. Thanks Ed

Great for me

Ihave found it to be the best such product that I have used. No problems and it last much longer than others I have used.

Works for me

The only way I have seen this product fail is if it isn't re-applied once a year. After several years of neglect it must be removed and re-applied. I have used Poly Glow for the past 8 years and love it. Visit the Poly Glow website by clicking the link below.

I have a poly glo kit

that I bought for my boat which was destroyed in hurricane charlie. Never used. Let me know if you're interested.

Poly Glow

Poliglow is the best of the four acrylic finishes I have used. It works great on tired old gelcoat and makes an old boat look new. Removal is difficult but it's great stuff to use before you sell it. I wouldn't use it on a newer vessel. Vertglas (a competitor) will yellow in 2-3 years so avoid that one.

My experience with Poli-Glo

is that one of my sailing buddies purchased a kit at the Miami boat show a few years ago. After reading the instructions we decided it was just to much work and opted for a regular wax job. I believe the kit is still sitting in one of the boats locker.

Its the only way to go. Also consider on older hulls, if you keep doing things the old way, you sooner or later are going to ware thru your gel coat. Also it comes off easy if you use their acid cleaner before hand.....I love the stuff
