we didn't haul - are on the lower Hudson at Nyack, NY. We were thinking of staying on our mooring, but at the last minute (11:30am Saturday) cast off and headed north. About 10 of the club boats did haul. Some went to nearby marinas with protected slips. We got about 10 miles north, headed for some coves, and saw 2 million dollar power boats and a large sailboat anchored in a shallow bay opposite Indian Point power plant. We joined them, letting out a good 200 feet of chain with the Danforth anchor (its all mud here). We had previously removed all the canvas and sails. All that scope was probably the best protection. We came through fine and did not see the swells that the guys lower on the river saw. And, we found where the leaks are during all that rain (oh boy - there's only a few, but they are hard to trace). Catalina 380. Take care, Tom
