Has anyone tried using polyglow on the decks/nonskid? Does it hold up? Would IG be a better alernative for a chalky deck? I have reviewed the archives, but this question has really never been talked about. Ken Matejka

Poli-glow

Used poli-glow on non-skid surface (use handheld sponge brush) with great results. People thought I repainted the hull but it was poli-glow. Better than waxing.

I used it for years since it did not add a slick surface, but I wanted the non-skid sealed. If I were to do it now, I would use Island Girl to clean it and use their non-skid sealer. Rick D.

Poli-Glow

I've used it on my deck and hull. Much better than wax and lasts longer. Just have a clean surface with no wax on it. Great look and very easy to go back over when it starts to dull in about a year.

Not for new or painted non-skid decks.....

Water based acrylics need the "teeth" of porosity for grip (otherwise they peel) . Given this limitation they all (like Future etc) work Ok but a bit glossy. IG non-skid sealant has been out a while now being used on new or old decks with good acceptance - but don't slather it on in one thick coat! JW
