Gary, try a search, upper right hand blue tab. Been discussed many times. Folks seem to either love it or hate it.

Stu pretty much summed it up. Our most recent boat came poliglowed by the previous owner when we got it a couple of years ago. I decided to remove it and buff and wax instead, at the beginning of last season. I used commercial floor stripper to remove it. It has taken 2 seasons to get the shine back the way I want it. I keep finding spots where there was still some poliglow on the boat, which I remedied by wet sanding the areas with 1000, then 1200, then 1500, and buffing from there. It looks like a new boat now (it's a "96).

Poliglow does work, especially on an older hull, to kind of revitalize it. It will never look as good as a good buff (polish) and wax, though it may be less work to poliglow it. If you're good with a buffer (or know someone who is), I can't see using it. (just my 2 cents after doing a removal job and going back to wax). If the boat is already shiny, there's no way I'd scuff it down and use poliglow.

Edit: added pic. This is NOT a poli glow shine :)

I used poli glow and would never use it again . It turned yellow after a time . There is a fair amount of work using poli prep getting the surface ready and I did not really like the look when it was finished . It looks prettyl good from ten feet away and then you get up close and not so good . Like the the man said you either love it or hate it . You buys your ticket and takes your chances . I have been an advocate of meguiars 3 step for years . Another alternative is the island girl products and I like them about as much as poli glow .
