Our (Hunter) factory installed Water-cooled Polar Mate reefer water pump runs constantly. We are on the boat every weekend and leave it on throughout the week. There are no air leaks in the boxes and the system cools properly. However, it is rare for the water pump to ever stop. I have to clean the strainer once a week because of this. My greatest concern is that the pump will burn out at some point in time. Is this correct? Could the relay switch be faulty or the system mis-wired? Inquiring minds want to know....
