I have been reading about target speeds and polar diagrams being used to get optimum speed out of your boat. Does anyone have or know where to get Polar Diagrams for the the 1980 Hunter 30?
My sailing instructor (also the one I was always finishing behind in races this past summer!) suggested that I make my own polar diagram. All you need is a day with steady winds and a GPS or an accurate log. I'm going to start working on mine over the winter. Sounds like a great way to learn our boats even better. Hope this helps!
This is what we all should do. Does anyone know of a good site that explains polar diagrams and their purpose? If there are some instructions on how to set them up, and how to use them, it could speed us on our way toward understanding how to do them on our boats. Just an idea.
