Does anyone have polar data for a 1987 Hunter 26.5? I have checked with US Sailing and they do not have it. Hunter isn't allowed to give out that information anymore. Thanks

Polar's
Having Polars made is somthing that the builder does. It is done for allot of boats like J Boats because they are raced and the customer's would want them and it would sell more boats. When I talked to Hunter about it they had done it so when the 35.5's were raced in the Liberty Cup the crew's had the number's they needed and it also showed the performance of the boat. Since Hunter's are not sold or marketed as race boats then the Polar's were not needed. One of the biggest kept secrets is that the 80's design of Hunter boats like the 23,25.5,26.5,28.5,31,34,35.5,40 are some really great Racer/Cruiser boat's. If any one of these boats are set up right they can really be tough to beat on the race course when sailed in ther class. We are able to out point any boat in our class with the same or more boat speed. This all comes down to we sail less distance and if we sail smart we usually win our class. Cliff
