My holding tank is plumbed at the bottom. I need to install a "y" valve and replace the macerator pump. When I disconnect the plumbing whatever is in the line is likely to end up in the bilge. I propose to install a shut off valve at the holding tank so that, in the future, I can replace the "downstream" fittings after closing the valve to minimize drainage.How, or with what, should I treat the tank (and downstream lines) before commencing the undoing of the plumbing fittings so as to minimize "stuff" getting into the bilge?How much stuff stays behind after a pump-out?:{
