plumbing my O'day 25

I have individual pumps for each line. (one to galley one to head)There is one 3/8" line that comes out of the water tank to a Tee. Beyond the Tee are the pumps. Then the lines to the faucet. The problem is that when you turn on one faucet it will run for a second, pulling water from both the tank and robbing it from the opposite faucet line until there is no water in the opposite line and the pump runs dry. It will then pull the air from the other faucet line but not from the water tank unless you wait about 10 seconds for the pump to reprime. How can I remmedy this?Seth Dixon

Check Valves

Sounds like you will have to put two one way check valves on each line just after the tee.I have also removed the plumbing from my 25 and will have to consider this when I re-plunb.Thanks

Relocate Pump?

Can you use just one pump and located it between the tank and the tee? It would then charge both lines.

Tank vent

Have you checked to see if the tank vent is clogged?The pump should pull water from the tank before it pulls water through the other pump.r.w.landau

Check valves and pumps

RW is right (of course) as long as the non-pulling pump is in good shape and holding suction. Once it starts to wear the problem you describe is common. I'd install inexpensive check valves.Justin - O'day OWners' Web
