For you guys that have a plotter mounted in your navpod, did you have to buy your plotter specially for that or was there an adapter that was made to make it sit flush.
I noticed there is a rubber gasket that divides my plotter in half. it looks like I may be able to take it apart and mount it into a specially cut hole to make it sit flush.
The post with all the home made navpods makes me want to build one. I would like to have my engine controls on or near the binnacle. So if I am building a box for that, I might as well put my plotter in it if it will fit and sit flush.

humminbird 785 c2 I checked the website, it says it optional. Not sure what they mean by that.

I am not familiar with that brand but you can look on the back for some un used screw holes. This may be a clue that you can flush mount it. You could go to the website and look up your model and see what it says there. But like Maine sail said you may need a flush mount kit.

We purchased the Navpod to suit our then new plotter/radar. We found that the swivelling pod was great as when the boat is on autopilot and you're not behind the wheel, you can view the plotter from a comfortable cockpit position. Although daylight viewable, our plotter was at times hard to see so being able to adjust the angle etc helped.
