Time to replace the sliding hatch on my H37.5. Cannot find a supplier for the thickness and shade I need here in Florida. Any suggestions on a vendor< Thanks

I replaced my H22 hatch with Lexan from my local glass company. The brand is Sabic. It is tented dark grey. $108. www.sabic-ip.com I used the original teak arched pieces and it conformed beautifully. Lexan is more flexible and easier to work with than plexiglas.

Plexiglass/Acrylic is the preferred material for your application. The polycarbonate/Lexan is stronger, but it is subject to yellowing. Scratches can be buffed out of plexiglass. Plexiglass has better optical clairity than polycorbonate (not very important for your application.

There are different qualities of plexiglass, so be sure to ask before you purchase the material.

Select Plastics has a FAQ section that explains the difference and the pros/cons.
