Play on rudder o'day 37

I have a 1979 O' Day 37 center cockpit. I have a lot of play on my rudder and was wondering if anybody knows if there is a standard shim or washer that can be used on the rudder post to limit this play? any ideas would be appreciated

I do not know the O'Day 37 But I developed play on my rudder on an O'Day 322 and it turned out to be a bolt had come loose that connected the cable pulley to the actual rudder shaft. It was not the easiest thing to get to but a cheap nylon lock 3/8 nut solved the problem. The only way I was able to locate the play was by locking the rudder to the swim ladder (via a 2x4 and a line)and having the wife moving the wheel while I was watching below.
