My Plastimo range no longer stays lit without holding the burner knobs in. Correct functioning is that one holds the knob in to light and continues to hold until the burner warms up; when the knob is then released, the gas supply stays on as long as the burner stays hot. Now, one burner knob never stays lit without holding it, the other takes several minutes. Does anyone know what is wrong with this? Where can I get necessary repair parts? Thanks in advance, jv

Is there a thermal couple(?) in the unit?

It sounds like the problem with a furnace when the thermal-couple goes bad. I don't know the unit you have though, so I could be WAY off base. Tom s/v GAIA

Yes, but...

I can't get my hands on a manual, parts list, etc. Thanks for the reply. jv

Try Marisafe

Marisafe sells that stove and happens to share their warehouse and office space with Plastimo USA, so a call or email to them may help you track down the manuals and parts. www.marisafe.com

Thanks

I contacted Marisafe. They couldn't help, but put me in touch with tech. support for the Plastimo U.S. importer. jv

Amusing

That's kind of funny. I've been in their shared offices and all they have to do is stand up and yell across a couple cubicles to each other. But I s'pose that since they actually are two separate companies, just sharing the same space, that they would have different phone numbers. I hope that they can get you what you need.
