question... Are boat manufacturers required to submit their working plans (ie: drawings, specifications etc...) with anyone? You can go to the records in most town halls and find the prints (construction plans) on bldgs built in that town, I was wondering if production boat manufacturers have to do the same/ simular thing. What I am in search of are the construction plans for a 1979 O'Day 27, since O'Day is no longer in production where would I begine to look??? thanks for your help

Plans?

Rich... If you can find a way to get them plans, half of the boating community will erect a monument in your honor...The other half will be going to pay tribute to you... I do believe the boating industry is the only one I can't get even the more elemental information o meaninful drawings. I know I can do that with automoviles, motorcycles and airplanes, no to mention any other kind of electromechanical contraption ever made... Boats? I think even the son of Mr. Cherubini can't get the drawings his father made, since Hunter own them. Never mind they are no made anymore. I had been trying to get the plans for mine, a Hunter 27/83 and the stares I get may me ponder if I am asking for some military secret... Please, keep us posted...
