I've reviewed earlier comments about cruising spinnakers but none are very specific about placement of turning blocks and pad eyes for sheets leading back to the cabin top winches. The same is true for the set up required for adjusting the tack from the cockpit. I'd like to see comments on both. My boat is a 1995 Hunter 336

Sheet blocks as far aft as possible

Friend has a 336 (96) while I have a 340 (97). I'll email him and tell him to give you some advice. On the 340 with virtually the same hull as the 336, the sheet blocks are attached to a loup on the aft pulpit and then run forward to winches on the combing aft of the arch. They are not run to the winches on the cabin top. However, with 4 winches possible on top of the cabin on the 336, my friend probably has a different solution. I'll see if I can get him to respond.

Stern Rail

On the 29.5, turning blocks are shackled to a welded loop on the stern rail

Spin bowsprit

I've rigged a sturdy pole to throw the spin out an extra 4 feet from the bow, and I've reorganized the tack and the sheets for permanent but discreet deployment. email for pix and fact sheet at bodonovan@vagazette.com

a-chute set-up

We have a asymetrical on our boat. We attched blocks to the stern rail. Our boat has rings/loop welded onto the stantion, just below the aft rail seats. We then use the aft wench on the low side.
