Pirates Bight Reopens

The owner of Pirates Bight has constructed a temporary facility while construction has begun on a permanent structure.

Yes, they were building this in November when we were there. From what I was told, this "temporary" structure will eventually become the new store and dive shop when the new larger building to the South is completed. To tell you the truth, it was the first time I have stayed in the Bight for many years, because it was quiet (no thumping music from the bar)...

Where is Pirates Bight?

If you want relative quiet there is an outer cover that is rocky on the north side of the cove that is a lot quieter.

How do you get there?

The large cove with all the boats in the photo is the bight with Pirates being in the upper left section of the cove. At the bottom you see a small cove with a few boats in it. That is an ideal anchorage but still close enough to The Caves and Pirates to easily dinghy over. Far enough away from Willy-Ts to be less noisy and there is great snorkeling around the point at the bottom of the cove. More seclusion is found the the large cove to the left but you will have to anchor there.
