Pipe Berth Cupboards

I would like to fill in the pipe berth with cupboards, a wine rack, a book case etc. In some poctures on the site I notice that others have done the same thing. i would appreciate any pictures, drawings, suggestions on what the best options are for this project. i would rathe hear what others have learned by doing it than repeat the mistakes of others.
