I should have posted my inquiry on mildew over here rather than in "All Sailors". Do you have anything to add to what's in your book or any comments on the advice I've received over there?
I've got 1/32" of crud growing on water hoses and wires in parts of the boat that aren't going to be reachable until it's chainsawed up to go in a landfill. My boat is very well ventilated and I go back and forth constantly to open and close ports. I fought the battle daily last summer with vinegar but I'm still losing.
I'm putting in an over size cabin heating system that will let me warm the boat up while keeping lots of air moving through it so things should be better from here out, even if we have more monsoon summers. I'm stumped what to do about all the stuff I can't reach though.
