Hi all.
I have a 2001 Bavaria equipped with an ST6001 Pilot and a C80 GPS. Both are linked via Seatalk.
My fluxgate compass was located on the wall between the settee and the forward berth under the seat on the port side. In that location, the deviation was 35 degrees.
I read on forums that the fluxgate should be installed in the closet on the starboard side in the aft bedroom. Which I did, I now have a 49 degree deviation, which is worst than the previous one.
Any thoughts on where I should locate the fluxgate? According to Raymarine anything above 15 degrees is not good and I do have problems with my pilot holding its course.
