If you don't have a TIG it's easy enough to use bolted assemblies with aluminum tubing and angle. I don't have any good closeups of my galvanized Magic Tilt trailer. But basically only the frame of the trailer is welded. Everything else on it is bolted or set screw construction in the bunks and bunk supports. Even the axle is a bolted-on assembly and the spring hangers are not welded to the frame.dscribner- salt water is part of the reason for this post! if I intended to just sail lakes I could easily weld up some brackets but I don't have the means to weld alum. and I am trying to keep it as low cost as possible.
