Hi, everyone. A friend of mine is considering the purchase of a Hunter 460. He is interested in racing it in our informal races. I have found 2 PHRF base ratings, one from Galveston Bay at 102 and another from Western LI of 108. Does anyone have any experience with the performance of this model or does anyone have knowledge of any other ratings? Thanks, Alice A.

Alice, PHRF ratings are set by local PHRF committees. The same boat will have a different rating from one area to another although they will usually be pretty close to each other. The numbers are quite fair for this boat. It is surprisingly fast in the right conditions and with the right crew.
