I am looking for the official mathematical formula used to compute the base PHRF ratings for all Hunter models? It would seem there has to be one. Somewhere, I believe access to the official formula does exist, but where? Thanks, Steve s/v Sun Runner, H37.5

Doubt it....

PHRF numbers are generated in local fleets, although the basic PHRF seems to be relatively constant (my H25 varies from 222 to 228). The formula is a bit esoteric....... depends on what your fleet considers "standard equipment". There are a number of good websites that explain it all, specifically the Lake Ontario PHRF organization - I think it's www.phrf-lo.com, but you should use a good search engine to locate a bunch of these sites. Dogpile and Metafind found a TON of them! Michael O'
