I'm currently racing my standard rig winged keel Catalina 27 in Fort Worth, Texas. The PHRF given for fin keel Catalina 27s is 210. I'm given only an extra 3 PHRF pts. for my winged keel (213 PHRF). The winged keel obviously doesn't point as closely as a fin keel but 3 extra handicap points is all I've been allowed for now unless I learn of a higher PHRF. Does anyone know of other PHRFs given for a std. rigged winged keel C27? Or, is an extra 3 handicap pts. fairly standard across the U.S.?
