That's a rip-off. Take a look at http://www.ssssclub.com/race.htm Maybe ask for some guidance from that organization. Then form a new racing group with the goal of keeping the total cost per race under $10. The Lake Murray Yacht Racing Association in SC has per race costs well under $10.
