I am refurbishing a Hunter 25' 1976, I have looked at all the photos on this website but I would be interested in viewing other photos of the 25 for reference points such as the cabin makeup and decor, topside and rigging. Also, has anyone converted their Hunter from tiller to a steering wheel? Any info. on that subject would be appreciated. Thanks, M.C.

Check the archives

I have seen an article either on this website or Practical Sailor on replacing a tiller with a wheel. My Husband & I are in the process of refurbishing our 79 Hunter 30 and I have spent a lot of time looking at these websites & also looking at Yachtworld site. We have gotten some good ideas looking at the interiors of other Hunters that are for sale. Our boat hadn't been very well maintained so we really had our work cut out for us. We have spent two summers taking the boat apart & this year will start putting it back together. Hopefully we can remember where everything went & don't have too many parts left over. We had to repower as the engine died a most spectacular death the second summer we owned the boat. The death of the Yanmar is what precipitated the overhaul. Good luck & Have Fun.

Steering retrofit

I read a very good step by step article in Good Old Boat, it was about two months ago, they only put out a mag every two months so you might find it on a shelf somewhere. Or you could see if you can get a back order. It was quite intresting, time consuming but not hard at least in the writers opinion.

Refurb an H25

Hi Mark, I have a '77 H25 that I have done extensive repair/restore on over the last couple of seasons. Great little boat, I would be glad to attempt to answer any questions you might have. There are several other '25 owners on the list with lots of experience as well. Contact me off list if you wish...cjhiggin@padinox.ca See ya Craig

Thank you, I'm sure I could use the help. What was the hardest part of your refurb? Thanks. Mark Crociati
