We're still going but this October's weather isn't usually what we get on the coast of Maine. It's been colder. I'm burning wood at night(I didn't light a fire last season ending in early November).

The huge state of Maine seems small sometimes. We sailed to an Octoberfest event at a nearby island and spent the night. Our local congressmen(the woman on the left) was home and dishing out Maine blueberry pie. All local island food including the beer from an island brewery. It was great!

Light winds have been the rule, so far (that will change-for sure!). I made them even lighter sailing without the main on our last sail. You need the best crew to enjoy slow sailing.

Fine tuning the mizzen in light air, is an art, or maybe a belief,...

There's no traffic out there except for the hourly ferry (soon going to daily).

Last weekend we visited family in NYC. Still, sailing is never far out of mind with a sailing family. We watched sailboats on the Hudson enjoying lunch and talked about the season sailing adventures we shared (even though we're living apart these days).
The sailing life is a good one.
