Hey, we have (well, had) the same dog! Rudy, who unfortunately is no longer with us was part whippet, lab, husky, with some terrier thrown in somewhere. From your angle they are _really_ similar.

There really are some good photographers here. Me, I just point my phone at something pretty and press the button. Can;t wait to see the results.
Seriously, there could easily have been 30 or so winners. I don't think anyone would have argued any of them. Some amazing talent here.

Is that cat... smiling? Really? :) Must be a Cheshire Cat, no?

That cat was always smiling. Best cat ever. Loved the dogs (all three of them) and ran with them like part of the pack.

Here are some better ones. Any picture with my First Mate instead of me is better.
Charlie came from the SPCA. All they told us is he's a lab mix. He's not perfect but he's a good dawg.

As far as I can tell, DAVA390 and I are the only ones who have offered bribes. I hope Phil enjoys his trip to the East Coast.

I'll throw in their choice of homemade peach or strawberry ice cream. My secret recipe.

Having Thursday's offer go unanswered would under normal bribery scenarios be disconcerting, but it does suggest that the judges are operating to a higher standard.
(if at first you don't succeed, try something different)

"Allow me to be the first to, as they say, suck up. Who do I make the cheque out to?"

Offer him $300. I bet you'll win.

I came up with an even 25 photos that were outstanding in every respect. of those 25 I can not say that one deserves anymore praise than another. there is no way I can choose just one for a "peoples choice" pick. they are all winners.

Does this mean that "30 or so" lucky people will each get a $300 First Prize:), or will the group split the $300 prize for a $8-10 gift certificate:(?

I can't wait to see the winning entry(s)!! BTW, I don't envy the judges one bit. I saw lots of photos that I would be proud to call my own.
